Colusa County in
the heart of the Sacramento River Valley is in the
north Central Interior of California. Bordered to
the west by the Coastal Mountain Range and to our
east the Sacramento River. Our location offers a
picturesque agricultural landscape still mostly
untouched by massive city development. It is one of
the few remaining oases of uncluttered western
frontier that remain in California.
Like much of
California, the topography of Colusa County is
varied. The 7,000 foot peak of Snow Mountain sits on
the County's western edge in the Mendocino National
Forest. Traveling down from the mountain, one passes
world famous wild flowers in the range lands which
cover much of the County's western third. About 10
miles west of Interstate-5, these foothills ease
into the rich, fertile soils of the Sacramento
Valley. The Sacramento River, with a watershed
covering much of Upstate California’s interior,
washes the county's eastern boundary.
Colusa
County’s location on Interstate-5 and State Highway
20, the main north/south & east/west thoroughfare
running across her centerline, offer business and
industry the ideal site for development and
expansion. With our close proximity to the State
Capitol and the San Francisco Bay Area we offer
rural appeal with major city amenities near by.
